Yes. Ditto bundles Whisper.cpp and runs all transcription on your machine. Your audio is never uploaded anywhere. No telemetry on what you say.
Whisper supports 100+ languages including English, Spanish, French, German, Italian, Portuguese, Japanese, Korean, Chinese and more. You can let Ditto auto-detect or fix one for better speed and accuracy.
Windows 10 or 11 (64-bit), 4 GB RAM minimum, 1 GB free disk space. NVIDIA GPU recommended for faster transcription with larger models.
Not yet. macOS support is on the roadmap. Sign up on the download page to get notified when it's ready.
The current version is free. We may introduce paid features later (cloud sync, team plans, custom models), but the core local transcription will remain free.
Yes. You can pick any key combination, and choose between toggle (press to start, press again to stop) or push-to-talk (hold while speaking).
